'To celebrate Wales reaching the semi-final of rugby's World Cup Blaengwawr pupils were allowed to attend school on Friday 14th October sporting red Welsh rugby jerseys.



It proved very successful. Not only did it show Blaengwawr is 100 per cent behind Wales - but it also helped the school to raise £550 for our charities - with the main beneficiary being Macmillan Nurses who wil receive £500.' .

The school is being inspected in the week beginning 21 March 2011. Your child will have received a booklet entitled ‘Understanding Inspections in Schools: A Guide for Parents and Carers’.

Please contact the school if you have not received a copy. The inspectors would like the views of parents on the school and have included in the booklet a Questionnaire for Parents and Carers. Please complete the questionnaire and return it to the school by Thursday 3 March 2011.
